CNC Machine Shop

Among CNC Machine Shops, we separate ourselves are the Machine Shop for very close tolerance work. For example, we decline automotive work or any work that does not need a high degree of accuracy and quality! High degree of accuracy is a generic term of course. Generally, we seek work in the .00010” ( .00254mm ) to .005” ( .127mm ) range. Occasionally, we had to produce components (for satellites) which needed accuracies of .00002" ( .000508mm ). It is possible but quite difficult. We cannot promise twenty millionths accuracy for all but it is something we are a bit familiar with.

Accurate room temperature control is essential for all forms of ultra precision machining. That is why our entire EDM department is in a separate area within inside our facility. It has separate heating and cooling systems and the room is maintained on a slightly positive air pressure. This allows us to maintain a very accurate temperature and humidity control.

We offer tolerances as close as ½ micron ( .00002" ) (and have customer measured data to prove it!). We had performed this ½ micron tolerance work after being challenged to do so by a manufacturer of fiber optic cables.
