Wire Cut Machining offers excellent positional accuracies.
In certain special applications, we are able to offer ½
micron (0.00002") hole-to-hole positional
accuracy. We also offer .001” ( .0254mm ) diameter
wire. We find that .002” ( .0508 mm ) to .006” ( .1524
mm ) diameter wire cut machining is more commonly
requested by our customers. Our precision wire cut machining
process offers excellent corner radius control, as close
as .0015” ( .0381mm ).
Our
wire cut machines are specially built for us with 0.1 micron glass
scale resolution. We have also equipped them with a submersible
rotary indexer to offer true 5 axis wire cut machining.
True, we do not get too many requests for the true rotary axial
precision wire cut work but some of our telecommunications customers
have found it to be invaluable in cost savings.
